2025/26 Volunteer Program
Newport is a volunteer club and the majority of our facilities, events and board are volunteer run.
Volunteering at Newport can take many forms; from an hour setting up for an event to a 2 year commitment as a committee lead or Director. It takes help from everyone to run a successful club.
What’s New for the 2025/2026 Season!
We will be introducing a new opportunity to deduct $25 for (up to 10) hours worked from your 2026 boating fees.*
HOW IT WORKS:
Check out the list of options for volunteering below.
Contact the Director listed to get instructions on what tasks need completing or join a work party which happen throughout the year - club opening, beach clean up, weed removal etc.
Complete the tasks discussed with the Director or during the work party and note the date/and task for the form the the right.
Complete the form to have the hour(s) approved and credited to your 2026 Newport membership fees.
*You can earn a maximum of 10 hours per membership (or $250 towards 2026 fees).
That doesn’t mean that you can ONLY volunteer 10 hours! We encourage all to join and help out as much as you can, to improve our club and be part of our great community.
**This program is only available for our Boating Memberships. Social Membership and Non-motorized Vessel Memberships are not included.
***Hours can be shared among members under one membership e.g. husband and wife can each do 5 hours).
